Critic tasting note: (2012 vintage) "The 2012 is a 95/5 mix of malbec and bonarda from vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, Tunuyán and San Carlos all above 1100 metres. The attack is smooth, the palate fresh with earthy, coffee, cherry, savoury and tobacco flavours. Good fruit and balance with just a bit of acidity leaking through in the finish. Roast beef sandwiches or hamburgers would be a fine match. The wine spends 9 months in a 50/50 mix of French and American oak. (Anthony Gismondi and Stuart Tobe)." - Gismondi on Wine

A fresh, pure expression of the varietal, with aromas of violets, cherries, mocha, and spice. Juicy tannins and balanced acidity complement perfectly ripened fruit flavors, while a subtle hint of oak adds complexity. Crios Malbec was recently featured on the cover of Decanter Magazine as one of the Top 3 Value Malbecs from Argentina.
