Blackberry and mulberry notes gain ripeness and concentration from nose to palate in this wine. It's intensely ripe and juicy, but elegant too, balancing concentrated fruit against crushed stone and granite. The finish is long, persisting on fine, upright tannins. Anna Lee C. Iijima

Ripe and gently creamy, spiced pears, peaches and grilled hazelnuts on the nose. The palate has soft, baked-banana and banana-cake flavors. Drink now.

Spicy oak adds interest to the ripe, black cherries and dark berries, as well as garrigue herbs. The palate is plush and luscious, the ripe, mellow tannins carrying rich, mixed-berry flavors. Drink now.

Although the oak levels in some T-L cuvées have moderated, the nose of this wine remains distinctive for its lavish vanilla and cedar scents. That sexy oak is backed by black cherry and plum fruit and a full-bodied, creamy texture that turns just a bit astringent on the finish. Drink now–2020.

Tasted: Jan 2015
This is strongly marked by toasty, cedary oak, but enough fruit comes through on the midpalate and finish to suggest this is more than just another oaky red. It's rich and creamy through the midpalate, then finishes long, with mixed berry notes emerging at the end.

Tasted: Jan 2012
More Tardieu-Laurent than Côtes du Rhône, with hallmark exotic, nearly tropical notes suggestive of toasted coconut, vanilla and apricot. It's full bodied and plush in texture, with a long, cedary and velvety finish. Drink it over the next few years.
2006 Vintage
Tasted: Jul 2011
Yes, the new oak characteristic of T-L wines is here, but there's also plenty of black cherries and even a hint of garrigue lurking underneath. It's a full-bodied Côtes-du-Rhône, with a chewiness to the fruit and a long, cedar-vanilla finish.
2008 Vintage
Tasted: Jan 2011
This lush wine will be too oaky for purists, but there is no denying the superb quality of the underlying fruit. It's full-bodied, soft and succulent in texture, with cassis fruit framed by ample cedar and vanilla. A blend ofGrenache andSyrah. Drink now–2018.
2004 Vintage
Not a wine for the oak-averse, as it's slathered with cinnamon, vanilla and other baking spices from aging in special barriques. Exotic, but built on a solid foundation of cherry fruit. Drink now–2010.

Ruby garnet colour. Beatiful mature nose with notes of cherry, plum, dried petals, leather, cedar, vanilla, chocolate and some tobacco. Very complex. On the mouth is shows itself in a delicate and mature way, medium acidity, soft tannins rounded texture and a bit of oxidation. Great wine.
