Only wine from a single wine estate in Italy to have its own DOC.
Critic tasting note: (1984 vintage) "This year was a disaster in the rest of Tuscany but here it produced a wine of rare nobility. Its ruby color is of medium intensity and there are ample, intense and persistent fruit aromas of ripe prune and blueberry. The mouthfeel is soft with a medium structure and a persistence. The aftertaste has a pleasing sensation of red fruit, the same as in the aroma." - Doctorwine
