Producer tasting notes: (2006 vintage) "The 2006 Descendant is another impressive release of this wine, the colour making that immediately apparent; completely black/purple with healthy, vibrant magenta hues. A pure, wild, powerful nose of blackberry and tar is complimented by a gentle floral lift of lavender and violets. A very exquisite Barossa Valley Shiraz combined with power and finesse. A little old world style on the nose but super sweet and concentrated in the mouth. Intense dried fruits, jammy, sweet coconut and smoke. Full body and sweet, silky tannin. Robust and lovely. Drink or hold. 94
