Rather dark garnet colour with a lighter hue. Pure aromas with discreet oak, wild berries, plum, cherry, garrigue, pepper and some stony and flinty notes. The palate shows good density and persistency, rather full with good volume with nice layers of wild berry fruit, balanced oak, a nuanced spiciness and good length.

Juicy and refined with lots of finesse here. Complex aromas of berries, chili chocolate, plums, flowers and mineral, with some cigar box and truffle. Medium to full body, but ethereal and elegant with streamlined concentration. Sleek, silky, precise and very long. Already delicious now, but will hold.

From DO Conca de Barberà, and 450-470m, this blends garnacha, cariñena, querol, monastrell, and garrò from the llicorella and granite soils of the region. Torres has been working hard to recover near-extinct local varieties like querol and garrò, revitalizing vines and plantings to showcase in small lot wines of place like this. Each parcel was vinified separately in small stainless tanks. Aging varies depending on the variety, but averages 18 months in new thin-grained French oak barrels. This is an alluring blend, with wildflowers, wild plum, wild blueberries layered with decomposed stones, mineral salts running the fuller, yet fresh palate. Certainly a wine of place. (Treve Ring).

Inky dark purple core and hue. Good purity and intensity, mild oak in the background, aniseed and liquorice with fresh dark berries, cassis, violet and wild herbs. The palate is ample and concentrated with fine proportions, sweet fruit flavours restrained by a vibrant acidity, ripe but youthful tannin, a bold spiciness some meaty notes and a long muscular finish. Still youthful but with great potential.

Gritty, spicy aromas of plum and wild-berry fruits open this hefty but classy blend of Garnacha, Carignan and Monastrell from the warmer interior of Catalonia. On the palate, this is tight and linear as well as charged up and strapping, meaning the cellar is where it should go. Peppery, spicy black-fruit flavors highlight the natural grit of Carignan, while this is concentrated, spicy and enriched by chocolaty oak on a long and massive finish; best from 2023 through 2035. Deep and youthful colour with a purple hue. A multitude of floral dark fruit with cassis, blackberry, tobacco, dark chocolate and tar on the nose, still needing aeration to open. The palate has plenty of extract and concentration but is enveloped in layers of fresh dark fruit, powerful and structured with a very good length, it shows its potential but still needs a few years in the cellar.

This is an alluring blend, layered with perfumed purple and blue florals, wild scrubby herbs, rock salts, wild berries, on a textural, lengthy palate. Acidity is elevated, and tannins are slightly sticky. Though this is a 14.5% wine, all is in check, for a very balanced whole. Drinking well now, and with life ahead. (Treve Ring).

Cariñena and Garnacha plus the historic varieties Garró, Querol and Samsó. Black cherry, mint, wild blueberry, white pepper, a very ripe fruit heading towards overripe without falling off the ridge. On the palate plump, fine-grained, sweet in the background, multilayered palate fruit, long lasting, combines freshness and generosity.
