(2024) Note that this is a special edition of Torres' popular Viña Sol, lower in alcohol than the 'Original' which you will also find in stores and with a slightly different grape composition being made from Garnacha Blanca and Parellada. The floral aspect of this is prominent, with spring flowers and fresh green herbs, as well as citrus and crunchy grape aromas. It is light and juicy on the palate, with plenty of sweet fruit suggesting nectarine and lychee, into a balanced finish with zippy acidity. Helles Gelbgrün, Silberreflexe. Mit zarter Kräuterwürze unterlegte weiße Apfelfrucht, etwas dunkle Mineralität, leicht pfeffrig, Grapefruitnoten. Saftig, feine Säurestruktur, extraktsüß nach Papaya, etwas zerfließend im Nachhall, bereits gut antrinkbar.

This wine is always a pleasing, summer sipper, seafood ready white made from parellada, a traditional Spanish variety with a fresh character. Finished under cork (for some unknown reason) this bottle offers a fresh lime/lemon, yellow plum fruit nose and palate with bright acidity/minerality and a pinch of lime rind. Simple, clean and fresh it would be fine with most simply prepared west coast seafood dishes. (Anthony Gismondi).

Pine needle, lilac and some musk on the nose. Citrus is the driving force from then on. There's tangerine and some melon for flavor, and plenty or orange and passion fruit on the finish. A drink-now citrus ball that's full and flavorful.
