- Acquired in 1947 by the Castéja family, Château TrotteVieille, 1er Grand Cru Saint-Émilion, is a property whose origins date back to the Middle Ages. Legend has it that its name comes from an old lady who lived in this house several centuries ago. At each stop of a team, the old lady trotted down, hence “TrotteVieille”.
