Critic tasting note: (2017 vintage) "A blend of about equal parts Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a tiny addition of Petit Verdot, this red offers brooding tones of black plum and cherry mixed with warm accents of cocoa, anise and earth. Firmly medium in weight, plush dark-fruit flavors are ensconced in coiled accents of pepper and cocoa on the palate, with polished tannins lending support and lifted acidity lending balance. A dense nose of fresh dark cherry, currant and plum carries an earthy undercurrent. This is mouthfilling and voluptuous, yet tense and structured on the palate, with a flavor of thick-skinned berries smashed on a tangy gravel base. Give this time in the bottle to help it unravel. Tasted: Oct 2018
In spite of being only a year old, this is an attractive, Bordeaux-inspired, medium-bodied red with just enough tannin to support the redcurrants and red cherries. Bright, food-friendly finish. A blend of 39.5 per cent merlot, 38.5 per cent cabernet sauvignon and 22 per cent cabernet franc.

Tasted: Jan 2017
A core of ripe, dense blackberry and cherry flavors pulsates from within this lusciously textured red blend. It's a bold, robustly structured wine, but elegantly composed with spry acidity and fine-grained, persistent tannins. It's ready to drink now with a brief decanting but could improve through the next decade.

Tasted: Jan 2016
Black-cherry and currant flavors are concentrated but restrained in this full-bodied Bordeaux-style blend. Smoky, woody and a bit savory in style, it's abundantly oaky but should balance out neatly from 2020. Bold tannins and brisk acidity mark the finish.
2011 Vintage
Tasted: Jan 2015
While toast and spice are prominent on the nose, oak notes integrate elegantly on the palate of this plush, full-bodied Bordeaux-style blend. It's juicy and fruit forward, with soft, chalky tannins showcasing sultry, ripe cassis and blackberry flavors.
2010 Vintage
Tasted: Jan 2014
Whiffs of earth and mushroom against a backdrop of intensely aromatic red cherry, fresh herb and spice hint to the future of this bold, complex Bordeaux blend. The palate is juicy with fruit, but shaded with rustic layers of autumn leaves and wet soil, along with a bracing cranberry acidity. It's quite nice now, but should improve further through 2019.
2007 Vintage
Tasted: Jan 2011
Tones of fall foliage and forest floor make this smoky, supple Bordeaux blend earthy and complex on the nose and palate. Like many Long Island reds, there's an abundance of that smoky, charred character, but the dark plum palate is persistent and pure with a delicate spray of violet flowers on the finish.
2006 Vintage
Tasted: Jan 2010
Appealing aromas of tobacco, smoke and spice herald the masculine edge to this red blend. Flavors of chocolate, smoke, spicebox and pepper are carried by a bright, red fruit wave. A touch tart on the finish but overall well rounded.
