This Long Island wine has received good scores from various critics.
Critic tasting note: (2017 vintage) "A blend of about equal parts Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a tiny addition of Petit Verdot, this red offers brooding tones of black plum and cherry mixed with warm accents of cocoa, anise and earth. Firmly medium in weight, plush dark-fruit flavors are ensconced in coiled accents of pepper and cocoa on the palate, with polished tannins lending support and lifted acidity lending balance. An earthy yet fruity cherry stem tone extends on the finish alongside a light dusting of bitter cocoa. Alexander Peartree" - Wine Enthusiast
