Expert tasting note: (1998 vintage) "Medium to deep ruby-red color. Aromas of lifted red-fruit combine with appealing notes of vanilla & cocoa-butter. The fruit on the palate is closed, dry & tight. Acidity is balanced, as is the alcohol, but fine cedary tannins currently close up the attractive fruit that is promised by the aromas. The wine is finely balanced & has passable length, but needs time to better display its fruit." - 11/02 DCAMW
