Critic tasting note: (2022 vintage) "The ‘Three Hills’ is named after the three rolling hills at the Donum Estate in the Carneros region. The wine saw a small amount of whole cluster fermentation, as this comes from some cooler sites on the property. The wine was stored 16 months of aging in French oak barrels before bottling. This offers red currants, potpourri and baking spices on the nose alongside suggestions of orange peel. The palate is rich and mineral-laden with serious underling tension that connect with a core of generous red fruits with tobacco leaf accents.
