Expert tasting note: (2020 vintage) "The deep, dark black-ruby color is virtually opaque & the color holds well to the rim. The aromas combine high-toned red-plum & prune fruit with meaty notes. There is a lovely freshness & also leafy hints. Warming alcohol is largely balanced by rich, jammy, dark-fruit on the mid-palate. The wine is plush-textured with loganberry, black-cherry, prune, chocolate & sweet spice flavours. Good acidity gives a long finish & surprising balance despite its high alcohol." - 11/24 DCAMW
