Expert tasting note: (1993 vintage) "Medium to deep, dark ruby-red color. Quite restrained cedarwood notes & redcurrant fruit comprise the nose. The palate shows good acidity from the outset. Fruit on the palate starts with savory/gamey notes. Cedarwood flavors on the mid-palate compliment the structure, with oak notes following through to the finish. Elegant clean red fruit shows itself on the finish, where it lasts well without being assertive. The wine is beautifully crafted but it is unclear if there is enough fruit there to develop." - 11/97 DCAMW
