Lush with a velvety but age-worthy structure. Salty notes encrust ganache-enrobed brandied cherries, Vienna coffee, pan-toasted fennel seeds and chicory. Drink or hold.
2021 Vintage Tasted: Oct 2024
This merlot-based Bordeaux blend is dense, layered and saturated. So focused, structured and intense. Full-bodied and fully tannic. An exceptionally firm and concentrated wine. Drink or hold.
2019 Vintage Tasted: Mar 2023
Aromas of graphite, currant, and lead pencil. Black olives. Full-bodied with velvety tannins and hints of green olives, sage and other herbs. Drink or hold.
2018 Vintage Tasted: Mar 2022
Black olives, herbs and some meat on the nose, together with iodine, oyster shell, clove and tile. Full-bodied with plush tannins that are velvety and layered. Iodine, rosemary, thyme and menthol notes come through. Cooling at the end. 66% merlot, 23% cabernet sauvignon. 6% petit verdot and 5% cabernet franc. Drink or hold.
2012 Vintage Tasted: Jan 2017
A predominately merlot blend with cabernet franc, the red shows perfume and balance with black olive and dark fruit. Full body, velvety tannins and a salty, savory, and iodine. Drink now.
2008 Vintage Tasted: Oct 2011
Aromas of dark chocolate and berries with hints of new wood. Full-bodied with firm tannins and an oaky and fruity finish. Needs another two to three years. Release in October. Blend of 70% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc.
