The medium-bodied wine has enough alcohol to give richness to the mid-palate. The palate has a good density of fine tannins adding cedar hints to the back-palate. The medium-bodied palate is so light on its feet and finely textured, delivering wonderful tension and loads of minerally sparks on the long berry-laced finish. Nice!

Licorice, black currants, plums, and leafy tobacco nuances create the perfume. The palate is even better with its vivid display of fresh, juicy, crisp, red, with black fruits paired with a fine line of tannins down the middle giving you grace, character, and refined, freshness. The finish displays the wines elegance, with a touch of chalk on the back end of the finish. Give this just a year, or two in the bottle and it will be quite charming in your glass. The wine is a blend of 47% Merlot, 45% Cabernet, 6% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. 13% ABV. 3.65 pH. Picking took place September 23 - October 7. Drink from 2028-2040.

This is a bright, fresh, charming wine that even though it does not feel weighty, it is sneaky in its length, as it lingers on the palate, with fruit, as well as freshness. The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 40% Merlot. It is interesting to note this is the first vintage in ages, if not ever, with only 2 vintages in the blend. 13.2% ABV, 3.7 pH. The wine consists of roughly 35% of the harvest.15% press wine. Drink from 2027-2042.

The finish is where its racy edge shines most with all of its layers of black currants, black plums, spice and flowers. The wine is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. 13.7% ABV, 3.7 pH. The wine consists of roughly 35% of the harvest. Drink from 2026-2042.

Virtually opaque red-purple in color. The fresh dark-fruit aromas have hints of leaf and cedar. A lively palate shows juicy cassis to the fore. Leafy touches give way to concentrated licoricey black-fruit on the mid-palate. The wine is medium to full bodied with balanced alcohol. Alcohol is balanced to warm. Bitter licorice on the finish is mouth-wateringly fresh & followed by notes of tar, cinnamon and cedary oak.The finish ends quite drying & closed. 04/23 DCAMW

Virtually opaque, ruby-red, with a garnet-tinted rim. Rich, high-toned aromas are a bit raisined. The ripe dark-cherry fruit is dense & powerful with damson & bullace notes. The fine structure has sweet & bitter licorice notes. Silky/graphite tannins have a grainy grip. Alcohol is warming. Ripe black-fruit on the finish is dense, high-toned & full-bodied. The deep, dark, ruby-red color is almost opaque & it holds well to the rim. Aromas of cassis & plum have a lovely minty freshness that is tamed by graphite overtones. The acidity is fresh & the tannins are firm, fine & gripping, without being astringent. Juicy, lively red-fruit dominates the mid-palate & a seam of graphite runs through it. Alcohol is balanced & the finish is quite long. 04/22 DCAMW

Virtually opaque purple/red colour holding right to the rim. Aromas are of rich mulberry fruit with a little cedar. The palate has fine cedary tannins & some typical Pauillac cassis-leaf notes. The initially vivid cassis bite gives way to plumy, rich red-fruit by the finish. Acidity is fresh, alcohol is balanced & as a result the finish has a fair length. 4/12 DCAMW

Youthful, very deep ruby colour with a vivid purple rim. Composed notes of black-berries, cherries, plums, primary, elegant, prune, cassis and cedar are very restrained. The palate is structured with very fine, ripe, cedary tannis. The damson & cassis fruit is restrained but balances the wine’s structure well. Fresh acidity helps makes the finish long & elegant. 3/11 DCAMW
